UK Spouse Visa Application Checklist (Sample Apr 2026 - Amelia and George)1. Visa applicant, Amelia’s foreign passport (UN69850295) Submitted at TLS Contact office in London, United Kingdom;2. Copy of Amelia’s online Application form (UAN 1212-0001-8502-8020); 3. Copy of UK sponsor, George’s British Passport (Number: 145008020) or George’s foreign passport plus his UK status documents (eVisa); 4. Duly Completed Amelia's online Application Checklist (GWF050295020); Financial (Sponsor, George who is British and Employed) 5. George’s Statutory Declaration and Sponsorship undertaking form SU07 ; 6. Letter from George’s employer dated in Apr 2026; 7. Offer letter and Employment Contract document for George ; 8. George’s Payslips (Monthly – Sept 2025* to Apr 2026); 9. George’s Bank Statements (1 Sept 2025* to 1 Apr 2026). * George may need 12 months (From Apr 2025) instead of 6 where George's monthly gross pay varies and is less than the required monthly amount, currently £2,416.67 (£29,000 / 12) for each and every month during the previous 6 months prior to application date. Financial (Sponsor, George has Savings or receives exempted State Benefits) If George is not employed but has the required savings or George receives PIP, CA or Disability benefits he would provide (instead of items 6 to 8 above) evidence of benefit award and needs to meet the maintaince route requirements. In the case of savings, George would need to provide evidence of source of savings and minimum balance held during the previous 6 months. Amelia’s savings can also be used. Her funds would need to be converted from foreign currency to British pounds. Accommodation (Adequate for the British foreign couple plus any children) 10. George’s Tenancy Agreement or Ownership evidence (if owning) ; 11. Landlord / Estate Agents consent letter or housing report (owning) for George's flat ; 12. George’s Council tax statement and other UK residence evidence. English & TB Certificates (A1 English test is required for foreign nationals. Unless your nationality is listed here) 13. Approved A1 English test certificate from test centre in London - United Kingdom 14. TB medical test certificates are not required when you apply from United Kingdom. Relationship (Genuine subsisting and durable between George and Amelia) 15. George and Amelia's original Marriage Certificate with translation (if married) and joint residence evidence (where unmarried but living together for 2 years plus) ; 16. Copy of United Kingdom / UK visit stamps, entry & exit plus flights bookings for George and Amelia; 17. Telephone and Whatsapp chat log records between George and Amelia; 18. Screenshots of conversations by Whatsapp between George and Amelia; 19. Various Funds Remittance Receipts sent to Amelia in United Kingdom by George ; 20. Selection of foreign wedding and other personal photographs of George and Amelia. 21. if George and Amelia are not married but only engaged - evidence of George's venue booking and other commitments for marriage in the UK awaiting Amelia's arrival ; 22. if George previously married - George's Divorce certificate or Widower - Death certificate (issued in the UK or United Kingdom ). Same for Amelia if applicable. Children and other ties (British or foreign and where applicable) 23. Child, Oliver's birth certificate, copy of Oliver's passport and other evidence of family ties and Amelia and George's parental responsibility for the child. Non-English documents (from United Kingdom) 24. English translation of George and Amelia's Marriage / divorce certificate. Criminal record and immigration history (In United Kingdom and the UK - Applicant only) 25. Documents relating to Amelia's good character and immigration history and mitigation (if Amelia's previous visa was refused or was an UK over-stayer). 26.
