UK Spouse Visa Application Checklist (Sample Apr 2026 - Isla and Noah)

1. Visa applicant, Isla’s foreign passport (UN69850295) Submitted at TLS Contact office in London, United Kingdom;
2. Copy of Isla’s online Application form (UAN 1212-0001-8502-8020);
3. Copy of UK sponsor, Noah’s British Passport (Number: 145008020) or Noah’s foreign passport plus his UK status documents (eVisa);
4. Duly Completed Isla's online Application Checklist (GWF050295020);

Financial (Sponsor, Noah who is British and Employed)
5. Noah’s Statutory Declaration and Sponsorship undertaking form SU07 ;
6. Letter from Noah’s employer dated in Apr 2026;
7. Offer letter and Employment Contract document for Noah ;
8. Noah’s Payslips (Monthly – Sept 2025* to Apr 2026);
9. Noah’s Bank Statements (1 Sept 2025* to 1 Apr 2026).
* Noah may need 12 months (From Apr 2025) instead of 6 where Noah's monthly gross pay varies and is less than the required monthly amount, currently £2,416.67 (£29,000 / 12) for each and every month during the previous 6 months prior to application date.

Financial (Sponsor, Noah has Savings or receives exempted State Benefits)
If Noah is not employed but has the required savings or Noah receives PIP, CA or Disability benefits he would provide (instead of items 6 to 8 above) evidence of benefit award and needs to meet the maintaince route requirements. In the case of savings, Noah would need to provide evidence of source of savings and minimum balance held during the previous 6 months. Isla’s savings can also be used. Her funds would need to be converted from foreign currency to British pounds.

Accommodation (Adequate for the British foreign couple plus any children)
10. Noah’s Tenancy Agreement or Ownership evidence (if owning) ;
11. Landlord / Estate Agents consent letter or housing report (owning) for Noah's flat ;
12. Noah’s Council tax statement and other UK residence evidence.

English & TB Certificates (A1 English test is required for foreign nationals. Unless your nationality is listed here)
13. Approved A1 English test certificate from test centre in London - United Kingdom

Relationship (Genuine subsisting and durable between Noah and Isla)
15. Noah and Isla's original Marriage Certificate with translation (if married) and joint residence evidence (where unmarried but living together for 2 years plus) ;
16. Copy of United Kingdom / UK visit stamps, entry & exit plus flights bookings for Noah and Isla;
17. Telephone and Whatsapp chat log records between Noah and Isla;
18. Screenshots of conversations by Whatsapp between Noah and Isla;
19. Various Funds Remittance Receipts sent to Isla in United Kingdom by Noah ;
20. Selection of foreign wedding and other personal photographs of Noah and Isla.
21. if Noah and Isla are not married but only engaged - evidence of Noah's venue booking and other commitments for marriage in the UK awaiting Isla's arrival ;
22. if Noah previously married - Noah's Divorce certificate or Widower - Death certificate (issued in the UK or United Kingdom ). Same for Isla if applicable.

Children and other ties (British or foreign and where applicable)
23. Child, Amelia's birth certificate, copy of Amelia's passport and other evidence of family ties and Noah and Isla's parental responsibility for the child.

Non-English documents (from United Kingdom)
24. English translation of Noah and Isla's Marriage / divorce certificate.

Criminal record and immigration history (In United Kingdom and the UK - Applicant only)
25. Documents relating to Isla's good character and immigration history and mitigation (if Isla's previous visa was refused or was an UK over-stayer).
26. Isla's financial standing and settlement of NHS and other debts.
